EFM celebrates its first year of successful event logistics in Middle East.

Dylan Owen, Regional Director of EFM in the Middle East, together with General Manager, Chris Lumb have undergone a busy 12 months, since the Dubai office’s opening in April 2008, building the business and gaining increasing respect from a wide network of contacts across the GCC region. Together with Mike and the EFM international management team, they welcomed fellow events professionals to the poolside iKandy Bar at Dubai’s Shangri-La hotel for an evening reception to celebrate a remarkable first year.
It has been a year during which EFM has raised the bar on what had previously been expected as the regional standard of event logistics. Dylan's 20 years experience in the GCC region and events industry, along with his understanding of local regulations and customs processes, have combined well with EFM's track record, expertise and knowledge of the events industry requirements.
During the last 12 months in the Middle East, EFM has moved an extensive list of events supplies in, around and back out of the region for many major events. Production equipment & musical instruments for major international music acts such as Christina Aguilera and George Michael in Abu Dhabi; custom-made exhibition stands to trade fairs across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain; temporary structures, audiovisual and other events equipment for sporting events including the Abu Dhabi Golf Championships, Dubai Rugby Sevens, Dubai World Cup and the F1 Grand Prix in Bahrain; broadcasting equipment for the arrival of the QE2 ship into Port Rashid; production equipment for corporate events and launch ceremonies - Sohar Aluminium launch event in Oman, the Qatargas 2 inauguration at Ras Laffan, Qatar Science & Technology Park launch and the Senior Convocation at the Qatar Foundation.
