EXHIBITIONSAdded July 7th, 2011 A work of art can take years to create, so it’s vital to ensure its safety.EFM employs the highest possible standards and experienced staff to ensure the utmost care and protection is afforded to artefacts large and small. To help you unveil art and antiquity to the world, our backstage artists will take care of packing, lifting, handling, air-ride suspension, climate-controlled transport and customs issues from museum to collector, from gallery to studio – we won’t leave you hanging – just your art. Our services to the exhibition and art industry include assisting with tour schedule planning, air freight, sea freight, road transportation (via climate-controlled, air-ride suspension dedicated vehicles whenever required), on board couriers, building and packing specialist custom-made shipping crates and cases, producing and handling ATA carnets, customs brokerage, border customs clearances, preparing condition reports, arranging specialist licences and permits, fixing aircraft charters, loading and securing shipping containers, building aircraft pallets, storage, labour, and on-site attendance. A snapshot of recent exhibitions handled and transported by the EFM team have included an exhibition of fragile architectural models, “From the House to the City”, by the internationally renowned architects Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners, travelling through Spain, UK, Singapore and Taiwan and requiring meticulous planning and extremely specialist care and handling; a Design Museum exhibition of the history of F1 motor-racing, including cars from the decades – “Formula One: The Great Design Race”, travelling through Finland, New Zealand, Hungary, Japan, UK and Korea which EFM has transported via specialist vehicle transporters, air and sea freight and included a night-time crane lift of the cars via a specialist platform into the Tokyo Museum; a Design Museum exhibition of the famous milliner – Philip Treacy’s hats, “When Philip Met Isabella”, which EFM toured through USA, Australia, UK and which comprised feathers and taxidermy animals requiring specialist permits; and “Reconstruction: cultural heritage and the making of contemporary fashion” – a British Council fashion exhibition which recently started touring with the creation of specialist touring crates and packing and a first move via air freight by EFM from UK to the State Central Museum in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
