EFM joins forces with the international comedy circuit

EFM has enjoyed an ongoing close association with the international comedy circuit for several years, and is proud to announce the renewal of its support as a key partner of the 2011 Comedy International Conference, which will be held on Tuesday 8th September 2011 at the Old Royal Naval College Grounds in Greenwich, London.

As a sponsor once again of this successful and well-attended meeting of the Comedy industry’s leading figures, EFM is continuing its support of an ever-growing business area within the entertainment industry and an increasingly regular feature on the international touring circuit.

EFM’s recent involvement as the freight forwarder and transport provider to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2011 included a wide range of requirements, from the transportation of the Natural Theatre Company’s bizarre props and equipment including coneheads, octopus tentacles, clockheads, a “nude” suit and a giant spanner and cigarette (!) to the shipping by sea of a container of an equally diverse range of props from London to Melbourne for Dot.Maze, the main attraction to the Festival, which was delivered by EFM Australia and set up in Federation Square, at the heart of the Festival site, where it remained for a month. Timing was critical for the delivery and collection due to the venue being in the busiest part of Melbourne and the EFM team had to make the delivery and collection within a window of 30 minutes between 04.00hrs – 04.30hrs on each occasion.

EFM’s international comedy clients have included such high profile comedians as Eddie Izzard, Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre and Russell Howard, transporting props, costumes and production equipment by air, road and sea freight around the world including USA, Europe and Australia.
